Superintendent

Dear Millington Community Schools Families:

On behalf of the Millington Board of Education and all of us who work with and support your children, I want to welcome you back for another exciting school year! Our faculty and staff are the very best in Michigan. And, our Board of Education continues to guide our collective vision in ways that provide your children with the very best we have to offer:

Thanks to your support in passing our Sinking Fund in May, we are committed to making improvements to our facilities that will help us provide a quality educational environment and more opportunities for our students.

"We have re-developed a Strategic Planning Process that will guide our school system over the next five years working on continual improvement and student achievement. We continue to refine, explore and expand academically rigorous pathways aligned to Michigan State Standards with a focus on innovative teaching and learning."

Our custodial, Maintenance and Facilities Staff have been working diligently throughout the summer to get our buildings and campus ready to begin school at the end of this month. Our Secretaries have been taking inventory and collecting orders of supplies and materials. Please thank both of these groups for all of the hard work that they put in behind the scenes in order to have everything ready for you and our students when we return to school.

It is an exciting time to be in Millington Community Schools, and it is my great honor to once again serve as your superintendent. Millington is a very special place, it is family; there is no better place in which to learn and work. Thank you for your continued support as we strive to do our very best for our community’s children. They deserve it, and we simply cannot do this important work without you. We look forward to seeing you and your children soon.

Best wishes for an outstanding school year,

Lawrence R. Kroswek
