Ten students from Millington Community Schools have been selected to participate in the prestigious Michigan Art Education Association (MAEA) K-12 State Art Exhibition. The exhibition will run from Thursday, March 14th to Tuesday, April 9th, and will be held at the Western Michigan University's Grand Rapids Gallery, located at 200 Ionia Avenue SW, Grand Rapids, MI, 49503.

The talented students representing Millington Community Schools are from Meachum Elementary, taught by Deborah Oakwood, and Millington Junior High, taught by Alberta Guralczyk. From Meachum Elementary, the students are Vivian Sorenson, Wilson Schenk, Edi Wolschleger, Carly Sinkel, and Jezzamine Dean. From Millington Junior High, the students are Alayna Mills, Lola Ratza, Gracie Thiel, Brooke Milostan, and Lauryn Childs.

"This is truly an honor and a great representation of our art program here at Millington," Guralczyk said.  "I am so proud of our artistic students.  I love my profession!"

The MAEA K-12 State Art Exhibition is a platform for students across Michigan to showcase their exceptional artwork. Founded in 1949, the MAEA not only promotes artistic talent but also serves as a valuable networking opportunity and source of support for visual art educators throughout the state.
