Millington Community Schools is thrilled to announce that Anaya Brown, one of our talented 11th-grade students, has won the Meemic Masterpieces Creativity Contest - Friendship. This contest encouraged students to showcase their creativity by creating a 1-3 panel comic strip illustrating what makes a good friend.
Anaya's winning entry stood out for its artistic merit and thoughtful depiction of friendship. Her comic strip not only demonstrated her artistic skill but also conveyed a powerful message about the qualities that make a good friend. As a result of her achievement, Anaya has received a Boogie Board Blackboard Smart Reusable Notebook Writing Tablet and an opportunity to have her comic strip featured in a virtual art gallery.
"We are incredibly proud of Anaya's accomplishment and the recognition she has brought to our school," said her teacher Mary Gavitt. "Her success is a testament to her talent, hard work, and dedication to her craft. We would also like to thank the Meemic Foundation for providing this opportunity for our students to showcase their creativity and talent."
As the sponsoring Meemic Foundation Club Member, Gavitt will receive $500 to use for classroom resources.
