December 18, 2020

Dear Parents and Community Members:

The current MDHHS Order that was put in place earlier expires on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 11:59 pm regarding 9th through 12th Grade Face-to-Face Instruction will not be extended. Therefore, we, at Millington Community Schools, are planning a full in person school day beginning as soon as our regularly scheduled Winter Break has completed! School will resume on Monday, January 4, 2021.

We will return to the Monday through Thursday Face-to-Face Instructional Schedule with Fridays being the Distance Learning Day for all students. The students that are currently here for Face-to-Face Instruction will receive school work that they will be expected to complete over the weekend and the teachers will be able to spend the day reaching out to all students who are currently on the Virtual Google Classroom Platform (remote learning is still an option). This will continue to enable our teachers to develop methods for more accountability, stronger expectations and provide more guidance for those students who are online.

Please see the attached school calendar for the remainder of the school year.

Let’s hope that we can get all of our students back in school with Face-to-Face Instruction as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Lawrence R. Kroswek
